  • This is actually The Whisky Smugglers Challenge in 1983. The whisky was carried on the back of a Highland Pony from the MacAllan Distillery, Craigellachie to Balhousie Caste Perth June 1983. My father John Davidson Glenisla is leading the second Highland pony. He walked part of the journey from Forter Castle to Pitlochry. At the end of the trip we were able to purchase some of the whisky which was sold to benefit charity. I still have the decanter.

  • This taken in 1979. A group of riders in traditional garb were re-enacting the route taken by the old Highland drovers from the north to the cattle market in Falkirk and stayed overnight in Bannerfield. We had feed delivered to the shop for the horses in advance.
