  • The Scout Hut sat in Bannerfield and was a sectional ex-army WW2 timber building with a large hall and three smaller rooms. It was built in the early 1950s by the Scouts of the time under Scoutmaster Gordon Sutherland (Borland Farm) and Assistant Scoutmaster Bert Rattray (Heath Cottage). For the best part of 40 years it was used by the 30th Perthshire (Kirkmichael) Scouts and Cubs. It was also used on Games Day for a few years for the Home Industries section of the Strathardle Show when it started in the late 1950s.
