    I have a decorative billhead of the Aldchlappie Hotel, Kirkmichael, with ‘P.Melville’ printed above ‘A Rankin’ crossed out, Proprietor. The ‘pais’ official rubber stamp is dated 30 Oct 1901 with signature of ‘P Melville’ below. The receipt is for 2 dinners – 2/6
