  • The Scout Hut was purchased second hand in 1955 and erected on the site of the disused tennis court courtesy of the owners of Bannerfield, D S Menzies, Joiners, by the then Scout Masters Gordon Sutherland, Borland Farm, and Bert Rattray, Heath Cottage with the help of the older scouts. Prior to that scouts and cubs met in the Session House. The hut served its purpose until the late 1980s when the troop folded. It was also used for the Home Industries section of Strathardle Gathering when this first started in the 1960s.
