Ski Glenshee - 1991 Promotional VHS

This footage is taken from a VHS made in 1991 entitled Ski Glenshee: Scottish Skiing At Its Best. It was made by Broombank Productions Ltd, Braemar for the Glenshee Chairlift Co. Ltd as a promotional video.

The notes on the back of the VHS case read:

‘This video provides a unique opportunity to view the facilities offered at the Glenshee Ski Centre, to see the breathtaking views across the mountains and to join in with skiers of all standards as they enjoy the unbeatable value of Scotland’s Premier Ski Resort.

790 hectares of some of the country’s finest skiing terrain, with slopes to suit all skiiers. Beginners, intermediates and experts alike, are all at home in Glenshee.

Skiing from four mountains over 3000 feet into three valleys, 40 kilometers of downhill runs and a network of 26 lifts and tows, the largest in Britain, providing 14 kilometers of uplift with a capacity of 18,000 skiers per hour.

Glenshee is in the heart of the Scottish Highlands, located on the A93 trunk road between Blairgowrie and Braemar – Britain’s highest mountian pass.’

    Looks like 1991 was as good as the epic
    2013/14 season though. Fingers crossed for the 14/15 season.
