The Glenner Collection
“The Glenner” was also known as “Rodger”. He wrote poetry about everyday happenings in Strathardle and Glenshee, as well as for special occasions. From one of his poems, we learn that he lived on Pitcarmick estate.

George Rodger (1908-1980) lived and farmed at Croft of Dounie on Pitcarmick Estate. He contributed poems every week to the Blairgowrie Advertiser using the name “The Glenner” and eventually published several volumes of these.
