Alistair Ferguson was brought up in Kirkmichael. His father was the local policeman for a number of years. He later moved away but has a lot of fond memories from his time spent in the area. Sheila Ferguson was brought up in Enochdhu, where her parents owned and ran the village Post Office. Sheila and Alistair later got married. They were interviewed on 21st February 2014 in Tayport. The interview was originally arranged only with Alistair, but Sheila joined in after a while.

Great hearing about Bud McGregor, the school and Enochdu. I went to school here in 1948 ish. My grandad (John Mowbray) replanted the putting green and had the grass like a billiard table. Trellises with roses around – he wiz a guid gardener! Think Bud’s poodle was called Trixie? She and her mother were very kind (but firm). Bud let me have first shot of a Kaleidoscope !
